Down The Street
Down the street (otherwise known as DTS) is a friendly neighborhood bar in Janesville by the old General Motors plant. A throw-back to the good ole days, Down The Street still cares about the relationships developed with their patrons and making sure there is always a friendly face there to serve you. Well known for great prices and specials, you won’t have to spend too much to have a nice evening out. Their menu includes a Friday fish fry, wings, burgers, pizzas, appetizers and more. Free darts on Wednesdays and they still have a pool table available! Enjoy the weather in their large patio area and there will be occasional live music on the patio as well. Seven days a week DTS has its famous power hour from 6:00 to 7:00 and happy hour from 7:00 to 10:00. A great time is always just down the street, at DTS on Jackson Street in Janesville.

Russ’s Park Place
Russ’s Park Place is a local bar and grill on Racine Street in Janesville that has been family owned and run since 2006. Nightly specials include: Mondays $12 pizza & a pitcher night from 6 pm to close, Tuesdays cheeseburger, fries & beverage night for $7.95 from 6-10 pm, whiskey & wings Wednesday with 50 cent wings and discounted whiskey shots along with $1 cheap beer all night and Thursdays are $2 silos from 6 pm to close. Park Place is well known for its Friday fish fry because they use four-ounce pieces of fresh North Atlantic cod, hand-battered in their 20-year-old recipe. 2 for 1 burgers for lunch on Saturdays and bloodies and silos on Sundays.  There is a separate dining area upstairs, bar area seating, or you can take your meal and drinks to the outdoor patio seating that overlooks Palmer Park if the weather allows. Happy hour drink and appetizer specials run weekdays from 3 to 6 pm. Mo’s Taasbag Sports Bar & Grill
Mo’s Taasbag Sports Bar & Grill is a locally owned bar on Milton Avenue just across from the Janesville Mall. The name Taasbag originally stood for: The All American Sports Bar and Grill, but after several years in the Janesville community, Taasbag has become a word all by itself in the area. With a fun crowd, plenty of seating and enough big screens to give each seat a great view, watching the game at Mo’s Taasbag is second only to being at the stadium. Come for lunch, dinner or just drinks and if you are looking for nightlife, Taasbag is well known for that as well. Check ahead for events or entertainment scheduled. Bucky’s Lucky Bell
It’s time to check out the newest and nicest casual dining and drinking establishment on Janesville’s Southside, Bucky’s Lucky Bell.  In 2019 Bucky’s went through a complete remodel giving it a whole new fresh look that you won’t recognize from previous businesses that had the same location in the past. Lunch and dinner specials include prime rib Saturdays and raffles and wings on Sundays among the many other weekday specials. Make sure to make Bucky’s one of your St. Patrick’s destinations as they will begin their corned beef and cabbage along with their many other festive holiday specials the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day. Other St. Patrick’s Day festivities include being a part of Trinity Fest, which is the city’s biggest and best Irish celebration taking place the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. The Looking Glass
The Looking Glass is a local bar established in historic downtown Janesville in 1982.  Long time Janesville residents would remember the location as the Shamrock Bar in the 60’s and 70’s, but in 1982 The Looking Glass was born. Legend says the name comes from large front windows allowing customers to look out onto Main Street or other theories say it comes from large decorative mirrors that were on the wall many years ago as you walk in. However the name came, The Looking Glass has been a mainstay downtown for over 25 years. A recent remodel gave the place a new look that needs to be seen. Part of the new Looking Glass look is their updated patio area complete with an outdoor bar. Well known for its great menu and tap beer selection, The Looking Glass also serves breakfast on the weekends. If you are a beer enthusiast, ask about The Looking Glass beer club. If burgers are your thing, look into the burger of the month card. If you want a taste of history in downtown Janesville, The Looking Glass is the place you need to be.
